Looking for convenient yet valuable online CE?
Your state association has partnered with The Agents & Brokers Education Network (ABEN) to bring you relevant and professionally produced insurance education and training via live webcast technology.
ABEN's online CE platform will stream professional instructors right to your office, along with related course material and the ability to ask questions and chat with other students.
The Agents & Brokers Education Network (ABEN) is a joint project of state insurance and brokers associations who have a common goal: IMPROVING THE QUALITY AND ACCESSIBILITY OF DISTANCE LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE TO THEIR MEMBERS.
ABEN aims to serve as a platform to showcase and exchange the best in continuing education for mutual benefit of the associations and their membership. Business Professionals' Network manages the network and ensures the performance of the cutting edge technology that is the hallmark of ABEN.
The ABEN network is founded on the use of streaming video content over the internet that provides the participant with live, full motion video of the presenter, high quality audio, along with coordinated powerpoint slides. The ABEN platform, provided by Business Professionals' Network and its technology partner, BizVision, also allows the end user to fully participate in the webcast by downloading written materials, emailing questions to presenters in real time, making notes in the viewer "notes" area, and emailing those notes to themselves for later use. For more details view The ABEN Difference.
There are two processes for group viewing based on the numbers of viewers interested in viewing a webcast.
Small Groups - 2-9 viewers - Please contact the ABEN helpdesk at firstname.lastname@example.org or 800-747-1719, and ask for assistance in setting up a Corporate Account Administrator role.
Large Groups - 10 or more viewers - Please contact Sally Smith at email@example.com for discounted pricing information.

How do I receive a certificate of completion?
Throughout the webcast you will see 4 unique letter codes pop-up in the webcast player. You will need to keep track of all 4 codes to receive your certificate. Once the webcast is complete, click on the Certificate tab on the bottom of the webcast player. Follow the instructions on that tab to enter the codes and be taken to your certificate of completion. If you submit less than all four parts of the code, you must submit all parts of the code to get credit for the course. Codes must be submitted by Noon EST the day after a webcast.
What do I do if I missed one of the codes or am having trouble with my certification?
For any certification issues, contact the Help Desk at 800-747-1719 or email@example.com.

How do I know if I have the bandwidth necessary to view the webcast?
All webcasts will be streamed at 256K. Please test your system using the test link given to you when in your registration email and again by email the day before the webcast to make sure that your computer and your network can handle streaming video at this bandwidth. If you are having trouble with the webcast buffering or not playing, please work with the Administrator of your network for additional help.
If you are experiencing extensive buffering, you can click on “Audio Stream Only” on the webcast player page to access the audio stream, you will still see the webcodes to obtain your credit.
I am unable to open the video player or see the streaming video in the player.
What do I do if I can’t hear the audio?
Why was I able to see the test but have issues with the actual webcast?
The actual webcast will be streamed at the same rate of the test, 256 Kbps. If you were able to see the test but are having trouble viewing the actual webcast, it means that there is something taking up too much bandwidth on your network. Do what you can to reduce any other heavy bandwidth use on your computer and contact the Administrator of your network for additional help.
